Free gay dating in New York.

Five boroughs, one subway map, and a lot of people who will not cross a river.

Nobody in New York yet.

This site is new. Whoever is first here will have a quiet few weeks and will be the reason it is not quiet later.

New York has more gay men in it than almost anywhere, and the same problem as everywhere: the ones you can actually meet on a Tuesday are the ones who are close. A man in Bay Ridge and a man in Astoria are in the same city and in different lives. The list here puts the ones near you first and tells you the distance in kilometres before it tells you anything else.

What it does not do is sell you the people it shows you. There is no paid tier that puts somebody at the top, no boost, no unlock. There is nothing to buy on this site at all — not now, and not once it is busy.

Every profile is verified by a live selfie in a random pose, matched against the photos on the profile, and then the selfie is deleted. Nobody here skipped that, which is the only reason the grid is worth reading.

One email, when somebody joins. Not a newsletter, and not passed to anybody.

What everybody here agrees to

  • A live selfie, once. A pose the site picks at random, taken within sixty seconds, matched against the photos on the profile. The selfie is deleted afterwards — by us and by the service that does the matching.
  • No paywall. Messaging is free, all of it, and there is no tier that makes anybody more visible than anybody else.
  • No adverts and no trackers. There is no advertising code on this site, so there is nothing about you to sell.
  • Your exact position is never stored. It is rounded to about a kilometre before it reaches the database.

The full list of what gets somebody removed is in the community rules, and what is held about you is in the privacy page.
